Happy Birthday Addilyn!

I cant believe this little girl has been around for a year already!!! I don't know how I feel about her turning one, I am not sad and it doesn't bring back any crazy memories from the hospital, Maybe that was because I really had the perfect labor story. All I can recall of when Addie was born was when they laid her down on my chest for the first time Darrell and I just gazed at her like, "I cant believe this is happening." It all happened so fast and perfect its hard to remember much other than the comfort and love we felt when seeing our baby girl for the first time. We were not sure what to do and the doctor said, "Its okay you can touch her," ha ha I think we were in awe of the beautiful baby girl that God had given us.

Now a year later she has such a personality and shows how much she loves us. When you hear her giggle it just brings happiness to life. We love her so much and cant imagine our lives without her.
This morning we woke up at 6:45 and went on a walk! In the summer this is the best time to go outside!! I love it! The air has a little bite to it but not quite cold enough that you need a sweatshirt. As Darrell and I were strolling Addie out onto the sidewalk was when it occurred to me, "Addie is ONE!" So we decided to walk on over to the park and let Addie swing and slide a bit. She loved it. As she swung we would pretend she was kicking us and she would giggle like none other. We headed back home and I made her a German Pancake! Oh does she love German Pancakes! She yelled at me the whole time it was cooking and especially once it was cooling on the counter. She wanted it now! She scarfed down half the pancake in no time. I decided to give her some applesauce and since she is one now its time to practice using a spoon. Lets just say she is not pro that's for sure. I usually help her get something on the spoon but getting it to her mouth was her job. Majority of the time the applesauce barely made it to her mouth and half dribbled down her stomach. Good thing we took a bath this morning, syrup and spoon practice is a very messy ordeal.

She absolutely loves the bath... mainly when the water is running. She just sits by the faucet fascinated by the stream of water pouring down. She use to love playing with the drain and am I grateful that stage is over, Yuck! This morning was somewhat of an adventure in the tub. She was playing great, but than I began to see bubbles in the tub... not the liquid bubble bath but gas bubbles. I'm like oh no! so I grab her and fling her onto the toilet. She doesn't mind sitting on it for a few seconds, but than she gets bored. We begin singing the ABC's a b c d e f g.... and she is poking my eyes, h i j k l m n o... now trying to put self in toilet legs and all.... p q r s t... finally she relieves herself a little and u v w x y z .. by this time she is done and wanting off so I clean her up and back into the tub she goes. wow. The best part is that we didn't have to drain and clean out the tub. After her bath she was pretty tired. She let me do her hair really cute and got some clothes on and now she is down for a nap.

Wow what a morning. Its amazing how much you can get done getting up at 6:30 in the morning. Now here I am blogging, I have to blog while she is sleeping or Addie would do the typing and no one would understand a word. Hopefully I can get this blog caught up a bit and than finish some of the last few things to get ready for Addie's Party on Saturday!

Seven Peaks

So we broke down and bought the pass! I am not saying the name because I always get it wrong but its the pass that gets you into all seven peaks and trafalgas and does a few other things, but we got it! If you want it cheap its on sale now through labor day for $29.99 after labor day I believe it is going up to $59.99, because it is state wide now not county or city or whatever it was before. So we got the pass and now can go to seven peaks as often as we want! Yay.

Leah is back in town!

We were going up to Salt Lake to pick up Kimmy from the airport and Leah had just moved into her place up there. We decided to let Addie get out and wiggle at Leah's before we had to go get Kimmy and spend more time in the car. Leah's Apartment complex has two pools, tennis court, basketball court, soccer field, everything! So we brought our suits and went swimming! We didn't have any sunblock so we went out for only 20 minutes or so but it was fun!! Addie wanted to jump right in. She loved to play on the stairs.

Ward Camp Out

Addie and her Friend Elle her birthday was the 22 and Addie's is the 31st so pretty close!

The ward camp out was a lot of fun! The hardest part would be having a baby, but Addie slept great woke up a couple of times but still better than anything!

Sleepy Baby

I was trying to hurry and get the dishes done as Addie was eating lunch. Turns out I didn't go fast enough. It must have been the comforting sound of the rushing water??

Old Friends

Its always fun to get together with some of the hometown friends. Lindsey Woolley was down from Rexburg. She came over to get her hair colored and cut and Mandy came for the fun! We than decided to all go to lunch so we invited the husbands, Clark and Beth to come join us. It was lots of fun.

Beautiful Summer Evenings

I absolutely love going outside in the summer evening. It is just perfect. We do not get out there very often, by the time Darrell gets home from work and we have eaten dinner its usually almost time for Addie to go to bed. I decided we would have pitas for dinner along with a few easy sides so we were able to go to the park and have dinner and play for a bit! We also took pictures of Addie of course! She loves being outside but still hates the feeling of grass on her bare legs. Oh and I don't know if I mentioned that she is pretty much walking... it just depends on her laziness of the day whether she chooses walking or crawling.

Lunch at Olive Garden

We went to Christiana Bunkers sealing which was great! We decided it would be best to stay in the area instead of going home and coming back for the reception. We went to olive garden for lunch and I totally forgot a bib so we tied the olive garden napkin around her neck. We than went to Ikea because Dare had never been there and we had time to spare. It was actually pretty fun but very confusing. especially with an engineering mind Dare had no Idea why the layout is how it is. Than we went to go get a computer chair from a guy off of craigslist and we got a great deal!!! You never know with craigslist ads.

teething!

Yes, I am not lying this time or even being deceived Addie really does have her bottom left tooth coming in. Its a miracle! She chews on every and anything now. That is including daddys belt for his pants. She also wanted to share an otter pop with me! :)

Addie and Ayda Almost One!

We cant believe how time flies and how so adorable cute these girls are. They just grew up way too fast! Now they both are almost walking! Its so much fun getting together with Malissa and Ayda! We had a great time! And loved their new house! We cant wait to get one of our own one of these days! Its almost harder watching Addie than a two year old playing because she is almost always going for her friends hair and boy does she have a grip!

Swimming

Apparently this is Addie's form of swimming this year. We didn't get a pool for her so I found a small bucket in our house! but she loved it! She even got into it but my camera died at that point! Dang!
